We’re asking for the public’s help in selecting the baby photo that will appear on the cover of the Democrat and Chronicle’s “Meet the Babies of 2015” special section. The section will be published online and in the Democrat and Chronicle newspaper on or about February 28, 2016.

You must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to submit a photo or to be eligible to vote for your favorite baby photo. The baby photo with the most votes will be appear on the cover of the “Meet the Babies” section.

Entrants further grant to the Democrat and Chronicle the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the special section.

All submissions require the Democrat and Chronicle's approval before going live on the site. Entries will be approved within 48 hours of being submitted.

Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.

Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, the accounts will be disabled and votes disqualified.

In selecting the photo for the cover of the special section, the  Democrat and Chronicle reserves the right to limit their choice only to persons whose parents or legal guardian’s primary residence is within a 60-mile radius of the Democrat and Chronicle’s offices, located at 55 Exchange Blvd., Rochester, NY 14614.

Employees of the  Democrat and Chronicle, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to participate in the baby photo selection process.

The Democrat and Chronicle reserves the right to use any and all information related to the special section, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

Those people who purchase a congratulation ad and submit a baby photo for publication agree to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the publication of the special section.

UPICKEM and Rochester Democrat and Chronicle are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.

The Democrat and Chronicle reserves the right to change the terms at any time.
